Winter Day Trip

Winter in Kaiteriteri is a local secret - crisp bluebird days, amazing mountain bike trail conditions, Sunday roasts by the fire with a big glass of red wine, stunning night skies and the perfect level of solitude to recharge your soul and bring you back to nature.

Kaiteriteri Recreation Reserve is a 12 month a year destination with our apartments, cabins and campground popular throughout the autumn and winter months. Waterfront Restaurant operates all year with a specific winter menu that balances fresh local produce with those winter warmer favourites all served next to a roaring open fire.

Walking, running and riding over the cooler months gives you more time to explore our stunning location at your leisure, and with fewer people around the beauty of our natural environment is even more amazing.

The Nelson Tasman region is famous for its year round sunshine and mild maritime winter climate - so take a break from grey skies and winter coats and come and visit Kaiteriteri for a weekend break that will leave you feeling recharged and reconnected to nature.
