Location: Kaiteriteri Recreation Reserve, Tasman
Hours: 32–40 hours per week, negotiable
Roster: Weekend and public holiday availability required
Work by the Beach
Kaiteriteri Recreation Reserve is looking for a confident and reliable Barista to join the Kaiteriteri Store team. Located just steps from the beach, this is an opportunity to work in one of Aotearoa New Zealand’s most iconic coastal destinations.
You will help provide locals and visitors with excellent coffee, warm customer service, and a positive experience every time they visit the store.
About the Role
As our Barista, you will:
- Prepare consistently high-quality espresso coffee and other hot beverages.
- Provide friendly, efficient, and welcoming customer service.
- Maintain a calm and positive approach during busy service periods.
- Keep the coffee station, equipment, and service areas clean and well stocked.
- Assist with cabinet food presentation, stock rotation, and general store duties.
- Work closely with the wider store team to provide smooth and efficient service.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety requirements.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience operating a commercial espresso machine.
- Can prepare coffee quickly and consistently to a high standard.
- Is friendly, reliable, and customer focused.
- Works well under pressure and maintains a positive attitude.
- Enjoys working as part of a team and is willing to help wherever needed.
- Is flexible and available to work weekends and public holidays.
- Takes pride in keeping their workspace clean, organised, and ready for service.
